This project was created in the 3rd semester as part of the -Design and Identity- module. The narrative -Tree of Heaven- embodies the presence of the tree of the gods in the ecosystems of Europe. By dealing with signs of all kinds, I have developed a pattern that is culturally overlapping. The tree of the gods is reduced to the bare essentials and extends as a pattern through my design. Sorting out textiles after wearing them once and no longer wearing them because of holes is no longer in keeping with the times. The upcycling project should serve as a template and motivation to repair supposedly old textiles or -to make new from old.- To this end, I looked at the techniques of old Sashiko embroidery.
