HOER MAL
Ans Werk - Cooperation with @skd.museum Intervention 'Hoer mal!'
The intervention 'Hoer mal!' is dedicated to the topic of racism and offers people of color (PoC) and white people a platform to share their experiences on this topic. The starting point of the installation is a gueridon, around which three interactive stations are grouped. The first station is a printing plate. By touching the plate, statements that PoC often encounter in everyday life and that are challenging for them can be experienced auditorily. The second station is a screen showing interviews with white people in which they answer questions about racism. In the third station, conversations with PoC can be explored. In these, PoCs share their personal experiences of racism in order to promote the visitors' empathy, understanding and reflection.
The graphic design of the multi-sensory intervention and the colorfulness make it stand out from the exhibition and form a disruptor that is intended to arouse interest and activate people.
